Around this time of year (or even the beginning of October in some stores) there are aisles and aisles of chocolates, biscuits and goodies, all being promoted as being perfect gifts for teachers. Now, I know that teachers love to receive a little present at Christmas and it’s lovely to be able to show our appreciation for all of their hard work, but so many parents ask what the correct thing to buy is.
So, I’m here to tell you that, firstly, teachers absolutely don’t expect a gift at any time of the year. However, it is really lovely to receive them and teachers love to receive anything, from a thoughtful handmade card to a plant chosen by your child, or a lovely box of chocolates. However, if you are looking for something a little different, I’ve searched high and low to bring you some ideas of perfect gifts for teachers!
Unicorn Sweatshirt by Not For Ponies
This gorgeously soft sweatshirt is the just the thing for a teacher to snuggle up in at the weekend. The unicorn is appliquéd onto the front and adds a gorgeous quirky look. Aside from the fact that I absolutely adore the look of this sweatshirt, I love even more that all of Not For Ponies goods are designed and handmade in the NorthEast of the UK. So not only will your child’s teacher be warm and snug this winter, but you’ll also be supporting local businesses! Win win!
If you go for this present for your child’s teacher, you can guarantee they will thank you from the bottom of their hearts. There is nothing worse than playground duty on the coldest of winter days. In the olden days, teachers were able to take hot drinks out with them to keep themselves warm, but in this day of health and safety, that’s almost become a thing of the past. So, imagine how delighted a teacher would be receiving this fabulous handwarmer, knowing that cold hands will be a thing of the past. No longer will they dread playground duty (well, not as much as before anyway!)
Stationery from Office Monster
If there is one thing that teachers love more than anything else, it’s a lovely bit of stationery. Often stationery products can cost a fair amount, so I love to use Office Monster when ordering mine because so many products are heavily discounted (yep, I still buy a whole bunch of pads, even though I’m not teaching at the moment!)
At the moment, I adore the A4 spiralled notebooks with their feminine covers, and I really really love the Pukka Pad with a small colouring section at the bottom of each page! Teachers go to a LOT of meetings, and I know that most of us love to doodle whilst listening – so this would be a great idea. Not only that, but I’ve also discovered the erasable colouring pens – absolutely perfect for marking with no worries about making a mistake. You definitely can’t go wrong with some stationery for your child’s teacher this Christmas.
Prices vary depending on size and product
If you are looking for something a little more luxurious or a little more personal, then you can’t go wrong with this gorgeous range of Argan products from Douvall’s. Douvall’s produces a wonderfully organic, ethically sourced Argan oil skincare range which has been developed by former model Alicia Douvall. Not only that, but it is also completely natural and vegan!
At the end of a hard, long term (and believe me the Christmas term is definitely the hardest) it was always so wonderful to have a lovely bath or make up product to pamper myself with. A bit of a reward for a term well done – especially if part of that involved putting on the delights of a Nativity play!
I can guarantee that your child’s teacher would be delighted with any of the Douvall range, but I particularly like the Lip and Cheek Colour Oil (£16), the Multi Balm (£16), the Argan Oil Moisturiser (£14), and the Argan Bronzing Oil (£28).
So there you have it – several perfect gifts for teachers, guaranteed to bring a smile to their faces and make their Christmas extra special.
Disclosure: I have been sent several of these products to review in exchange for inclusion in this gift guide. However, all opinions and thoughts are my own, and I only endorse products that I have trialled and I truly believe in.
