Perfect Gifts For Teachers : Gift Guide

Around this time of year (or even the beginning of October in some stores) there are aisles and aisles of chocolates, biscuits and goodies, all being promoted as being perfect gifts for teachers.  Now, I know that teachers love to receive a little present at Christmas and it’s lovely to be able to show our appreciation for all of their hard work, but so many parents ask what the correct thing to buy is.

So, I’m here to tell you that, firstly, teachers absolutely don’t expect a gift at any time of the year.  I always felt extremely humbled when a parent chose to give me a gift at Christmas time, and often the most thoughtful gift was one made by the child.  Over the years I received some utterly delicious homemade biscuits, a wonderful hand decorated mug and a handmade card with the most beautiful poem written in it by a lovely Year 6 boy.  It is really lovely to receive them and teachers love to receive anything, from a thoughtful handmade card to a plant chosen by your child, or a lovely box of chocolates.  If you are looking for something a little different, I’ve searched high and low to bring you some ideas of perfect gifts for teachers!

Are you wondering what on earth to get your child's teacher for Christmas? Well, look no longer! Click through for some perfect gifts for teachers! Perfect gifts for a whole range of prices. Guaranteed to put a smile on the teacher's face this holiday period.

DesignWorks Ink

Teachers absolutely LOVE stationery – in fact I’m pretty sure I’d call it an obsession!  So when I came across the utterly gorgeous range from DesignWorks Ink, I knew that this would be every teacher’s dream! From gorgeous little notebooks, perfect for writing the hundreds of to-do lists, to gorgeous A5 hard-backed notebooks perfect for planning lessons, DesignWorks Ink is bound to have something for the teacher in your child’s life! Not only are they absolutely beautiful to look at (gold edgings are always a win in my book) but with the mini notepads from only £7.95, they aren’t going to break the bank either!

BIC 4 Colours Decor

If you fancy giving something that will really appeal to the teacher, then this great pen from BIC might be the perfect present!  At only £3.99, this pen not only will save time with not having to hunt out different coloured pens for marking, but was also designed by a child!  BIC ran the Design and Shine competition for anyone over 13 to design a new barrel for a BIC pen, and the winner was 13 year old Evie Sherrie with her bright and colourful design featuring a host of fun creatures!  This is a limited design though, so if you think that the teacher in your child’s life would love this pen, definitely get ordering soon before they all run out.

If your child’s teacher is a bit of a foodie, then this subscription might be the perfect gift for them.  Each month they will receive from The Spice Pioneer a lovely package through the post containing all the spices needed to make really interesting and exciting dishes from around the world.  Previous ones have included Spanish paella, Jamaican Jerk Chicken and Thai Coconut Soup amongst others!  This is a brilliant idea that will keep on giving as each pack not only includes the spices but a menu card along with a shopping list of ingredients, so they can go back to it again and again!  From only £27 for a 3 month subscription, The Spice Pioneer will sort out the foodies in your life!

The Book Of Everyone

You might be looking for something a little more personalised this year – and that’s where The Book Of Everyone comes in!  This is a fantastic idea to create a book specifically for the teacher in your life! With a little bit of knowledge about them (just their name and date of birth), you can create a wonderful, thoughtful book all about them.  Even better, your child can get involved with you and add their own touches with a personal front page just from them.  The Book Of Everyone is so much fun to receive but it’s just as much fun to create!  From only £23.95 for a soft back book, this is absolutely guaranteed to put a smile on the teacher’s face!
