Still wondering what on earth to buy the family this year? Don't worry - we've got the perfect family gift guide right here to help!

Somehow, with the advent of the internet, shopping has got both easier and harder simultaneously!  It’s easier because you no longer have to go trekking round the shops, freezing half to death and battling with bags.  You can sit at home, in your PJ’s, at midnight and get everything ordered in one go – and delivery is only a few hours away!

However!!!!

Shopping is now significantly harder because of the choice!  You need something for Uncle Alan?? Years ago you’d have popped down the shop, picked up a bottle of aftershave and be done with it.  Today though?? Does he want a subscription to a magazine? A cheese set from Mongolia? Or even a share of a F3 car??  In fact the only thing stopping you is your imagination (oh and money of course!)

So to help out, as we are so close to Christmas, here is our perfect family gift guide – with something for everyone!

We have been sent some of these items in exchange for an honest review – all opinions are our own and we only recommend products that we love.

For The Men In Your Life

We’ve have three great options for the men in your life! Whether they are outdoor lovers, fashionistas or just a big kid at heart – we’ve got ideas which will meet all their needs!

Perfect Family Gift Guide Saddle First Aid Kit
If you have a fussy man in your life who lives for the outdoors then you can’t go much wrong with this fantastic Saddle Pouch Bicycle First Aid kit from SJ Works.

Lightweight and designed to do on the bike, this kit contains everything you could want (and more) from a first aid kit.  As well as the normal items such as plasters, bandages and tape, it also includes an emergency blanket, antiseptic towelettes and an First Aid Guide by the Red Cross.  So no matter what circumstance they find themselves in, there is bound to be something in this great little pack which will keep them going until help can come!

SJ Works not only do the saddle pouch kit but they also do a Smartphone solution too which includes a watertight case with a transparent window so you can see and use your smartphone whilst out and about!  Both of these can be bought from Amazon for between £36 – £40.

fussy men's gift guide
If you are looking for a gift which will keep on giving, it’s definitely worth looking into getting a Cornerstone subscription!  Cornerstone are a subscription based service which sends high quality shaving products by post including razor blades, shaving gel and face wash.  The products are all Cornerstone branded and their after sales care is second to none!

The subscription is based on how often your intended recipient shaves, but this can be altered so the box can arrive more or less often if needed. The best thing is that there is no tie in, and you keep going until you decide you want it to end!

Take a look at Cornerstone for their products and to put the perfect box together for your fussy man!

perfect family gift guideNo matter how old the fussy man in your life is, there’s almost a guarantee that at some point or other they were (or still are) big Star Wars fans.  With the new Star Wars film coming out in a December 17, these great Star Wars themed pens from Sheaffer could be the way to go.

Not only do they epitomise fun, but Sheaffer is well known for being a classic brand, so the fussy man in your life can feel he is down with the times as well as still maintaining his high standards!  The pens are themed as R2-D2, Yoda or Darth Vader and come in both ball point and fountain pen styles!

You can purchase any of these pens for around £16.00 each from www.cross.com.

For The Women In Your Life

When it comes to personalised gifts you can’t go far wrong if you take a look at a great firm called Bags Of Love which is based in London.  You can choose to personalise pretty much anything from clothing, bags, bedding and even lampshades! The list is nearly endless. Not only that, but the design process is so much fun, intuitive and really easy to use.

We had lots of fun looking at the different products and ended up decided on this beautiful hot water bottle cover with the children’s photos to give to their Nanny.  We were even able to personalise the writing and the colour of both the front and back.

There is so much choice and a gift to suit every occasion and price, do go and take a look over at Bags Of Love – you’ll definitely be spoilt for choice!

Perfect Family Gift Guide
If you are looking for something a little more luxurious or a little more personal, then you can’t go wrong with this gorgeous range of Argan products from Douvall’s.  Douvall’s produces a wonderfully organic, ethically sourced Argan oil skincare range which has been developed by former model Alicia Douvall.  Not only that, but it is also completely natural and vegan!

I can guarantee that anyone would be delighted with any of the Douvall range, but I particularly like the Lip and Cheek Colour Oil (£16), the Multi Balm (£16), the Argan Oil Moisturiser (£14), and the Argan Bronzing Oil (£28).

Perfect Family Gift Guide
A good cup of coffee is almost a necessity to get the morning off to a good start – so this VonShef 8 cup cafetiere would be the perfect gift for them.

In a brushed stainless steel, it’s guaranteed to add a certain elegance to their kitchen.  The absolutely perfect gift for them to make their freshly ground coffee each morning.  It even comes with it’s own stainless steel spoon!

This VonShef 8 cup cafetiere with spoon can be purchased for around £18.99 over at Domu.co.uk.

One For The Kids

Kids are probably the easiest to buy for, but there are some pretty cool products out there that you may not have come across – or thought about – so here are our ideas for a more unusual idea which would work out well no matter how old or how many children you have!

Perfect family gift guide
Both of the children have tablets, which I think that the majority of children have access to these days, but we’ve really been struggling to find appropriate apps for them to use.  We’ve tried a variety of ‘kid friendly’ apps, but none of them have either been at the level that the children require, or been interesting enough to keep them engage. So when we were asked if we wanted to try out a new app called Azoomee, we jumped at the chance, and haven’t looked back!

Azoomee, which is not only BAFTA nominated but has been developed in conjunction with the NSPCC, offers films, games, educational content (including coding and lots of STEM activities, hence it’s inclusion!), and audio books, all without ads or any in game purchases!  So it’s pretty much guaranteed to keep the children entertained, and learning, throughout the holidays and beyond.

Not only that, however, threaded throughout the app is an online safety curriculum called Smart Safe Kind Online which helps teach children how to be responsible and safe when using online content.  A huge win for me, especially as Little Miss is getting to the age when she wants to explore online a lot more!

For a whole year’s subscription the cost is only £44.99 and you can find out more over at azoomee.com.

So there you have it – our Perfect Family Gift Guide – full of ideas for the whole family – and not a share in a F3 car to be seen!
