An interview with my daughter

1 Comment on An interview with my daughter

The children have been home for a year and 3 months now, and have grown up so much in that time – so I thought it might be fun to find out what my 6 year old daughter things about me and the things I do in the house! Some very interesting thoughts!

What is something I always say to you?  It’s bedtime! (This was because I had just said it!)

What makes me happy? When I do something nice for you.

What makes me sad? When I boss you around.

How do I make you laugh? By doing funny things and tickling me.

What was I like as a child? Good and kind. (I literally have no idea why she thinks this!)

How old am I? 67 (Ummm….nope! About 30 years to go before then!)

How tall am I? Really tall.

What is my favourite thing to do? Cook

What do I do when you are not around? Watch TV and talk to Daddy.

If I become famous, what will it be for? Talking (Actually I think others might agree!)

What am I really good at? Looking after children

What am I not very good at? Hearing. (Maybe this is linked to me being 67!!)

What do I do for a job? Look after the house, look after the cats, look after us.

What is my favourite food? Spaghetti

What makes you proud of me? You are a good teacher.

If I were a character, who would I be? Goldilocks (I bear no resemblance to her at all!)

What do we enjoy doing together? Going out for dinner as big girls do.

How are we the same? We have the same colour skin.

How are we different? We have different colour hair.

How do you know I love you? Because you say ‘I love you very much.’

What do I like most about Daddy? He is funny and makes you laugh.

Where is my favourite place to go? Legoland (Actually one of my least favourite places!)

How old was I when you were born? 12 (Again, immmm….nope!)

It was fun to sit down with her and ask her these questions – I’m going to attempt the same with Little Sir – it’ll be interesting to compare the answers!

Hi Cherry, this is so cute. Most of the time we have no idea what is going through our little ones minds, so why not ask! Love that you are 67 now, but were 12 when you had your daughter! She really needs to work on her maths!… My children thought I loved playing snakes and ladders, when the truth was I hated it and would even climb a sneaky ladder or two when they weren’t looking!

    xx
